Sod is a cultivated layer of grass that has been grown and harvested for the purpose of transplanting. It is typically sold in rolls, allowing for easy transportation and installation. How Does Sod Work?
Sod provides instant grass that can quickly establish itself on soil. When installed properly, sod can take root and begin to grow within a few days, providing a lush green lawn in a matter of hours. Sod is installed by first preparing the soil, regrading the yard and then laying the rolls of sod onto the soil. The sod is then watered thoroughly to help It establish itself.
